Chiropractic neurology is extremely effective for treating pain conditions of the body, whether its lower back, neck, rib, pelvic, or hip involvement. Are you experiencing pain that started in one area, but then seemed to spread out to other regions? Are you now experiencing headaches, pain, numbness, or tingling down a leg or arm? Tightness and pain that wraps around the front of your groin, or pain that started in upper back and shoulders that traveled into the neck? All of which has persisted and doesn't seem to be getting better? By utilizing a neuroplasticity approach to treatment, we can restore function to all the systems involved in your pain. Neuroplasticity is the ability of our nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and nerves) to restore and create new connections, known as synapses that carry messages necessary to carry out all functions in the body. Our joints and muscles are connected to the brain through nerves. If we want to change the way our body works, we must also change the way our brain works, allowing nerves to carry important information proerply to and from our bodily structures, pain-free.

You might wonder if this seems like overkill for your back, neck or hip pain? I can assure you it's not, and it's my opinion that we often are under appreciating the complexities of the body because we overlook the fact that it is connected to our brain! This may be why you've tried certain treatments, whether medication, rehab, or other that haven't seemed to fix your problem completely.

Our brain is analagous to a large map that contains a view of each part of our body carefully drawn to perfection. When all of these portions of the map are in proper order, important signals between our muscles and joints can reach the proper destination. It is important that these messages are accurate and fast so that we coordinate and function optimally, if not, symptoms such as pain, numbness, and tingling ensue. We form these maps by receiving input from out muscles and joints through tiny receptors, like dials for your overhead lights, that determine the strength of signal to your brain. This signal is dialed up when we have healhty, full range of movement through our muscles and joints (range of motion). If our motion decreases in our spine or the muscles that surround it for long enough, we start to lose accurate mapping in our brain for that particular region, often causes a spreading of pain and muscle tightness to other regions of the spine and body as you may be experiencing, slowly resulting in chronic pain, leaving you wondering what to do next?

Chiropractic neurologists are experts in diagnosing and treating these acute and chronic conditons by incorporating a comprehensive neurological approach that restores muscle, joint, nerve and brain interconnectivity, restoring proper mapping throughout neurological structures and resolving symptoms permanently. We accomplish this through specialized treatments that address all parts of your problem, redrawing borders, bridges, trails, and roads of the affected map in your brain. This reconnection requires time as retraining the brain and body through neuroplasticity depends upon on how long you've been experiencing your problem. The longer you've had it, the more smudged the map becomes and the longer it takes to redraw.

With the proper care through chiropractic neurology, restoring connections and mapping in your brain and body is easily accomplished, providing patients with well-deserved relief who have been experiencing pain for days to years. Restore the map and your function will be restored, saying goodbye to symptoms for good.
