Dr. Shelby Patten D.C.

Dr. Shelby Patten grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Atkinson, Maine. Her passion for agriculture and cows brought her to Iowa State University where she earned a B.S. in Dairy Science in 2016. After working for two years in the agriculture industry she was inspired to pursue chiropractic school from her own positive experience with chiropractic care. In February 2023 she graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa with her Doctorate.
Dr. Patten’s interest in chiropractic neurology stems from watching her brother struggle with post-concussion syndrome when he was in high school and college. From a young age she has always had a drive for helping people. After witnessing what he went through having a difficult time finding a provider who would listen and treat him appropriately she knew she wanted to work in neurology. She is excited to have the opportunity to learn from her colleagues at PCN and develop her skills as a future chiropractic neurologist. One of her favorite parts of being a chiropractor is watching the positive change in people’s demeanor as they begin to heal and have relief of symptoms. Helping people return to normal daily function and achieve a level of health they didn’t feel was possible before care is a huge motivator for her.
In her free time Dr. Patten enjoys being outside as much as possible. She loves growing her own produce in her garden, kayaking, fishing, camping and spending time with her family.
